I feel so horrible and have for sure gotten myself out of the running for "Mom of the Year." Last weekend Ethan started coughing just very occasionally. By the time I actually decided to make him a doctor's appointment and the time came for him to be seen, the poor boy was miserable. I had been sending him to school despite his cough because my intuition said it was probably just his asthma flaring up. Well, that part was right....but by the time I picked him up from school and got him in the car he couldn't even talk without coughing:( Ethan literally coughed the whole way to the doctor. By the time the doctor listened to him, he was wheezing in both of his lungs and had decreased breath sounds. So, because of my procrastination, Ethan now gets a full course of treatment to help him turn around. He gets oral steroids, antibiotics, stronger inhaled steroids, and Albuterol every 4 hours. Between Ethan and our new puppy I am exhausted! Here's to hoping next week goes a little more smoothly!!

I'm baaack!

I have decided to jump back into the blogging world! It has been well over a year since my last post. It makes me so sad that I haven't taken the opportunity to keep track of all the events of my family. I can't promise that I will be great at this, but I will make a much better effort!
